Admissions criteria
Applicants are required to fulfil the following criteria to be eligible for consideration for any graduate programme at NYU Tandon School of Engineering:
Bachelor's Degree: Applicants must possess a four-year U.S. bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or its international equivalent
GPA Requirements: A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required
Transcripts and Degree Proof: Official and attested copies of academic transcripts must be provided. For institutions outside the U.S., English translations of transcripts are required. Proof of degree completion must also be submitted

Letters of Recommendation: Two to three letters of recommendation must be provided from professors, employers, and supervisors
GRE or GMAT Scores: The exam and cut-off of the respective exam depends on the course you are applying for. Please check the college website for the same.
English Language Proficiency: International applicants and those whose first language is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency through the following tests:
Minimum Score needed in the Internet-based TOEFL (iBT): 90
Minimum Score needed in PTE Academic: 65
Minimum Overall Band Score needed on the IELTS Academic: 7.0
Minimum Overall Band Score needed on the Duolingo English Test: 125
