Life at Faculty of Science
To foster scientific research the school features a number of state-of-the art buildings and science labs, and even virtual reality environments. However, the jewel in the school’s crown is the Science Precinct, a research hub which is dedicated to astronomy, physics, chemistry. The precinct is equipped for student comfort with meeting rooms, computers, and kitchen facilities. The Green Chemicals Futures Building is dedicated to chemistry and features a laboratory for conducting experiments. The Jock Marshall Reserve- the only on-campus teaching wetland and bushland complex in Australia, allows students to undertake field investigations and experiments and later analyse their findings in the on-site biological sciences lab. The institute also offers residential services on its campus.

Admissions criteria
Students must meet the following requirements and submit the mentioned documents for admission:
- An Australian bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a cognate science discipline.
- Minimum 65% average in the intended Master's discipline. or
- Equivalent qualifications and experience approved by the faculty.
- All applicants must mandatorily undergo the 'Australian Criminal History Check'.
- Submit an Expression of Interest International students have to meet the following requirements additionally:
- Proof of English proficiency: You must obtain the minimum score in the following exams to be eligible- TOEFL Internet-Based exam: 79, IELTS: 6.5, and Pearson Test of Academic English: 58. -Applicants must pass The International Student Admissions (ISAT) Exam. -Applicant must mandatorily undergo the 'International Criminal History Check'.
