Michigan Technological University - College of Computing was established in 2019. The unit is dedicated to computing and comprises two academic departments - the Department of Computer Science and Applied Computing. The College of Computing offers four master's degrees and is recognised by the National Security Agency as a Centre for Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (NSA CAE-CD).

The College of Computing has 50 active National Science Foundation grants. The college aims to introduce new areas of study, such as Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, games, and interactive media.

There is a 235,000-square-foot facility - Student Development Complex, with a wide range of fitness and recreation options for students and faculties, including a swimming pool, fitness centre, racquetball courts, climbing wall, yoga, and dance studio.

Additionally, the students living in campus housing can build a community, face challenges, and celebrate success together. There are three housing options at Michigan Technological University - College of Computing: McNair Hall, Wadsworth Hall, and Douglass Houghton Hall. Each of the housings is unique in its style and personality.
