Life at Bloomberg School of Public Health

Students at the Bloomberg School of Public Health study and learn in partnership about public health research and professional practice. There are several hybrid opportunities and a large mix of synchronous and asynchronous options given to students to expand their learning in public health, both in and outside of the classroom. The Department of Public Health in Bloomberg School helps students participate in various services and support teams, like academic advising, career planning and life design, health and wellness counselling, library resources, and information technology support. The Office of Student Life supports the onboarding of every new student. Personal Development Coaches are available to engage students in facilitated activities and discussions on various topics. In partnership with the BSPH Student Assembly, the Office of Student Life facilitates opportunities for Bloomberg School students to connect to the school in meaningful ways. Students can interact with each other through social programmes, leadership opportunities, student assemblies, or one of the school's many clubs and organisations.

Admissions criteria

The admission requirements at the Bloomberg School of Public Health are as follows: - Equivalent of a four-year U.S. bachelor's degree - Letters of recommendation - Official transcripts and/or credential evaluations - Standardised Test Scores - Resume - Statement of Purpose and Objectives Other certificate requirements and procedures vary by department, program, and student status. International Applicants must additionally submit the following: - Scores of an English language proficiency test. Students can submit their marks for the Internet Based Test (iBT) (Includes TOEFL iBT Home Edition), IELTS ACADEMIC (Includes IELTS Online; IELTS General Test is not accepted), Duolingo English Test, and Pearson Test for English – PTE Academic (Includes PTE Academic Online) International students applying for J-1 status must also meet Department of State requirements for documenting English Proficiency.
