The George Washington University - School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) was founded in 1884. Scott Amey Career Services Centre. Prospective students can take a virtual tour of the stunning Science and Engineering Hall or get acquainted with the Foggy Bottom campus through GW's Virtual Tour.. Housing GW provides housing options for first-year students based on their class year. Students register through the Campus Living eServices Portal, choosing exemptions, residence halls, and dining plans, selecting roommates, and signing a Housing Licence Agreement. Housing assignments are not first-come, first-served but can accommodate specific needs through Disability Support Services. Assignments are communicated in late June, with a waitlist for unassigned students and potential room swaps later. Meals Students can get chef-inspired menus of diverse foods with excellent service. The university provides Student Meal Plans per class year. Various dining options are available on campus at Foggy Bottom and Mount Vernon locations, with around 80 off-campus partners also accepting Campus Cash and Dining Dollars as payment. Students can also explore Washington, D.C.'s food scene at various restaurants. Transportation The Foggy Bottom campus is well-served by various transportation options, including the Foggy Bottom-GWU Metrorail Station (Blue, Silver, and Orange Lines), Virginia and Maryland buses, and Metrobus routes. A SmarTrip card simplifies travel and can be bought at metro rail stations and online. The U•Pass Student Transit Programme offers full-time students unlimited discounted access to Metrorail and Metrobus. Other facilities include the Virginia Rail Express, the DC Circulator, Maryland's MARC Train, and Amtrak. Additionally, Commuter Connections provides ride-matching to save on commuting costs, and the Guaranteed Ride Home programme offers free taxi rides for registered commuters.

Admissions criteria

When applying at the George Washington University - School of Engineering & Applied Science, international students have to submit supporting documents along with their online application. Generally, applications require the following: Application checklist: - Completed online application form - A personal statement written by the applicant - Two or three recommendations (as required by the programme) - A copy of unofficial transcripts from each institution attended should be attached to and submitted with the online application - All international transcripts must be translated into English from any NACES or AICE-accredited credential review agencies - A graduate admissions test result (GMAT, GRE, MAT) - Proof of proficiency in English by any of the following tests is required for international students - TOEFL iBT - TOEFL - Duolingo English test - IELTS - PTE Academic - Resume/CV uploaded directly to the online application

Things to note: There are defined lower limits for each test score. Concessions could be provided, depending on academic history. In situations where language scores fall below the specified limit, completion of EAP courses could be demanded. Test scores are accepted in electronic format. Applicants must scan and provide their foreign transcripts. While applying, it is not mandatory to produce visa-related documents. However, post-admission, these documents will be necessary.
