The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences provides a comprehensive education emphasising experiential learning. Students are offered numerous opportunities for holistic development. The Rose Hill Campus boasts over 170 clubs, including the Actuarial Club, Blockchain at Fordham, Chemistry Club, The Political Union, and more. The Fordham Lincoln Centre has almost 60 clubs, including the Science Club, Spring Fling Committee, Podcasting Club, and Yoga and Mindfulness.

Admissions criteria
The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences offers postgraduate programmes, including History (M.A.), International Humanitarian Action (M.A.), International Political Economy and Development (M.A.), Biological Sciences (M.S.), Data Science (M.S.), and more. Students can visit the school website for detailed information on the application process and prerequisites for their chosen degree and programme. The application deadline also differs according to the selected schedule.
Generally, follow these guidelines to apply to the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences:
- Online application with a non-refundable application fee of approximately $70
- Students reapplying within 18 months of their original application must pay a fee of approximately $25
- A personal statement written by the applicant
- Letters of recommendation
- Statement of purpose/intent (requirements for the statement may vary by programme)
- Resume/CV
- Official GRE scores (GRE may be optional/not required, required, or not accepted at all for your chosen programme)
International students must follow additional specific guidelines, which include the following:
- All previous transcripts in English or accompanied by a certified English translation
- English language proficiency test score results. Acceptable tests include TOEFL iBT, IELTS, DET, and PTE Academic. The minimum scores required may vary
- Additional documents are required for Immigration and Visa, Housing, Transportation, Health Services, Banking, and more International students can visit the school website for detailed information before applying for their chosen programme.
Job placements
The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences provides a career centre that supports students in their career exploration and job application journey. The various clubs and organisations at the school offer opportunities for extracurricular involvement to enhance their resume and strengthen their leadership experience.
