The College of Communication & Information also has various research centres, such as The Institute for Digital Information and Scientific Communication, L.L. Schendel Speech & Hearing Clinic, The Communication, and The Early Childhood Research and Practice Centre, which all promote students' interdisciplinary contributions.

Admissions criteria
The College of Communication & Information has three schools, each offering various postgraduate programmes under Information, Communication, Communication Science & Disorders. Students may need to follow some general guidelines, additional procedures, and prerequisites that apply to a particular school and programme. Students must follow these guidelines while applying to the graduate programmes offered by the College of Communication & Information:

Besides following the abovementioned guidelines, international students must send official test scores from an approved English language proficiency exam (TOEFL, IBT, or IELTS) to the University Office of Admissions.

Job placements
The College of Communication & Information works with the Florida State University Career Centre, which specialises in assisting students with career prospects.
