The College of Arts, Sciences & Education, which is also the largest college of Florida International University, helps students become tomorrow's leaders, educators, and innovators. Founded in 1965, the college has several departments, 600+ faculty members, and various graduate programmes in the fields of art, science, and education.

Admissions criteria
Since the College of Arts, Sciences & Education offers various postgraduate programmes under all three fields, there are some general guidelines that students need to follow while applying to their choice of course. Some courses also have additional admission criteria and prerequisites that students must fulfil to apply for a specific programme. It is best to visit the school's website for detailed and updated information about a particular programme.
The application deadlines vary according to the Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters. They may also vary for domestic and foreign students.
Broadly, the school requires the following for application to its programmes:
GPA: 3.0 average or higher. For some programmes, for example, MS in Recreation and Sport Management, students may need to contact the department for minimum requirements
GRE scores may be mandatory, optional, or not required at all, depending on the programme you want to pursue. For example, the MS in Geosciences requires you to have a minimum GRE score of 1000, MS in Mathematical Sciences makes it optional to submit GRE scores, while MS in International and Intercultural Education does not require GRE scores
Applicant statement or letter of intent
Depending on the programme, 2-3 letters of recommendation
Some programmes may additionally require one or more of these – a resume or CV, you may need to appear for an interview, a faculty sponsor with graduate faculty status, a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, etc.

Other than the abovementioned criteria, international students whose native language is not English may need to submit English proficiency scores. Accepted test scores include a total score of 80 on the iBT TOEFL or 6.5 overall on the IELTS.
