Admissions criteria
The Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management has similar guidelines for admission from national and international applicants, with a few additional requirements from international students.
Here is a list of documents and criteria required for admission: - Online application - Official college or university transcripts - The school also requires students to have a minimum 3.00 grade point average (GPA) in a completed undergraduate degree programme. In case students have a GPA below 3.00, they may need to submit GRE or GMAT scores

- Online application
- The school requires international students, both from non-English speaking countries and internationally educated American students, to submit their English proficiency scores. The Florida International University only accepts official test scores when sent directly from the testing agency.
- Accepted tests with minimum acceptable scores are TOEFL iBT (80) and TOEFL PBT (550), IELTS (6.5), or Duolingo English Test (110).
- The school also exempts students from some countries from submitting English proficiency scores. Some of these include Australia, Fiji, Uganda, Singapore, Ireland, etc. You can visit the school’s website to check out the complete list.
- Translations of foreign transcripts. If you don’t have transcripts available in English, you will need to translate them
- Course-by-course evaluation along with GPA calculation
- National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) member credential evaluation service
- Students must have at least 3.00 grade point average (GPA) in a completed undergraduate degree program. In case the GPA is below 3.00, students need to submit GRE or GMAT scores
- Proof of degree
