Life at School of Humanities & Sciences

At Stanford University, the heart of a top-notch liberal arts education is the School of Humanities and Sciences (H&S). H&S is comprised of 25 academic programmes and 23 departments, ranging from economics, mathematics, and biology to English, history, and art and art history. Stanford graduate students collaborate with world-class professors to explore and develop fundamental research that results in innovations and discoveries that throw fresh light on the past, affect the present, and form the future. They offer a listing service for off-campus housing and a list of on-campus sublicensing alternatives for graduate students. The on-campus restaurants and cafes provide an outstanding dining experience with specialised and quick-service meals prepared by a group of skilled chefs. Since 2006, Stanford Recreation & Wellness has provided a welcoming, inclusive, and motivating environment for Stanford University associates, faculty, staff, and students.
