Admissions criteria
The selection process for the School of Engineering is highly competitive and rigorous. The MIT Graduate Admissions is a decentralised network that selects students with exceptional academic and intellectual capabilities. Applicants are evaluated using a holistic review process and mathematical and scientific aptitude. Besides possessing a solid background in maths, physics, and engineering, students must submit the required documents and meet the following criteria:
Submit an online application. Visit the application platform, GradApply, and select your departmental programme to complete the form
The application fee ranges between $70 and $80 per programme. Students are requested to pay the stipulated fee online
Bachelor's degree or its equivalent
CV or Resume
There is no minimum GPA requirement, but 3.5 or above is recommended for competitive applicants. The faculty reviews applications and considers performance in subjects in related fields
Letters of Recommendations
Some departments do not require GRE scores. Therefore, you must check your programme requirements for the latest information
