About the school
The Henry Samueli School of Engineering at the University of California Irvine was established in 1965. The school consists of five departments, each contributing to research in a wide range of fields such as biochemical engineering, chemical and bioreactor engineering, computer science, transportation, water resources, intelligent systems and neural networks, image and signal processing, high-frequency devices, optoelectronic devices, and materials, integrated micro and nanoscale systems, fluid mechanics, robotics, material processing, and modern control theory.

Admissions criteria
The process of application is the same for both domestic and international students. Students seeking admission must understand the application process and adhere to relevant deadlines. It is also advisable for the candidates to provide the correct email address, as most of the communication will take place on email.
Here are the requirements for your application to the university -

Every year more than 1,000 international students from more than 65 countries are enrolled in the university. Here are additional requirements for international students -
- Proof of English proficiency: You must obtain the minimum score in the following exams to be eligible- TOEFL Internet-Based exam: 80, IELTS: 7.0.
- Graduate admissions test results (GMAT - 510, GRE - 297, ACT - 39, SAT - 1020)
- Proof of proficiency in a local language, depending on the country.
- Graduation transcripts translated into English.
Job placements
Career Exploration Portal: After completing a master's degree from the University of California, Irvine, graduates gain access to Career Exploration. This is a web-based hiring platform where newly graduated students can explore employment opportunities within industries and companies based in Orange County, California. The platform also has a skills development function that focuses on leadership, communication, and business skills.
