The school offers 100 dorm-style beds, including 36 beds for visiting groups. The rooms are fully furnished and bed linen is provided. Shared bathrooms are available, separated by gender. Students can also choose to have a private room at an additional cost, with shared bathrooms. The school has a large dining hall that can accommodate up to 92 people, which provides packed meals for trips and outings. The dining hall caters for special occasions and events. To book housing, the students need to connect with the Housing and Residence Life of the school.

Admissions criteria

The deadline for fall enrolment in the master's degree programme is mid-September, and the application ends on December 15 (admissions might be considered depending on availability). The Nicholas School of the Environment does not require an application fee to apply for the Master of Forestry or Duke Environmental Leadership Programmes.

Students are required to apply from the school's official website. Once the application is submitted, they are requested to submit the following documents to be eligible for admission: - Complete personal information form - A personal statement written by the applicant or an SOP - A letter of recommendation from an employer, academic, etc. (this depends on the programme) - A four-year U.S. bachelor’s degree from an accredited university - Proof of proficiency in English (TOEFL - 105, IELTS - 7.5) - Resume/CV - Minimum Scores/GPA
