About the school

The College of Arts and Sciences at Drexel University was created in 1990 by combining the College of Science and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Thus bringing together a broad range of programmes revolving around natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities. The College of Arts and Sciences calls upon agile individuals who share the same vision as the college and are eager to learn through the liberal arts and experiential learning.

The learning programmes examine the causes and effects of today’s challenges while synthesising knowledge across disciplines to address areas of concern and opportunity. The college immerses students in a professional academic environment right from the beginning of the academic year. This introduces the students to the expectations of the workplace and the understanding and experience of hands-on practical application of their coursework. The university is a world-class comprehensive R1 research institution and a global leader in experiential education.
