There are various community events for new graduate and professional students managed by the Big Red Barn, Graduate and Professional Student Center, like the trivia night, a language mixer, socials, TGIF, and more! Students also get the advantage of Grad Connect, which is a Resource Fair for Graduate and Professional Students. The Orientation for International Graduate and Professional Students gives students an early start on their Cornell experience by introducing them to important resources for international students and helping them connect with their classmates from around the world. With 23,600 students and more than 1,000 student groups, students are encouraged to find a group that corresponds to their personal or professional interests. There are various groups that students can join, like the Graduate and Professional Student Assembly (GPSA), Graduate and Professional Student Diversity Council, and other Student Communities. Dedicated departments are in place for reporting bias, harassment, and discrimination

Admissions criteria
Cornell Engineering is one of the world’s leading engineering and technical institutions that offers courses for M.S., Ph.D., and M.Eng. students. The following points are important regarding applications: - Submit only one graduate application per programme at Cornell - For most of the engineering fields, students need only an adequate course background in the field to be considered (an engineering degree is not mandatory) - Follow the online application system after setting up an ApplyWeb account - Cornell University expects all applicants to complete their application materials without the use of paid agents, credentialing services, or other paid professional assistance - Publications, award certificates, resumes, theses, and similar materials should not be sent unless prior approval has been given by the field of study to which students are applying - Admissions review committees may include faculty, staff, and current graduate students - For graduate and professional degree programmes affiliated with the Cornell Graduate School, a nonrefundable application fee is required Admissions for International Students - A non-refundable application fee is also required - International applicants must meet the English language proficiency requirement and may be required to submit IELTS Academic or TOEFL iBT scores - Before the end of the first semester at Cornell, students are required to submit an official, final transcript of their undergraduate degree - Requested Visa Documents and Pay the SEVIS Fee For information on fees and tuition, visit the school website.
