About the school

Auburn University's College of Architecture, Design, and Construction, popularly known as CADC, strives to build a community of intellectual thinkers, builders, designers, stewards, leaders, and makers. CADC began as a curriculum in architecture in the Civil Engineering Department in 1907. Today it comprises three schools and offers multiple graduate programmes, including a Master of Building Construction, Master of Industrial Design, and Master of Landscape Architecture.

The college also furnishes executive graduate programmes to enable practising professionals to pursue degrees in a hybrid format. More than 1,600 students have enrolled in these highly regarded graduate programmes.

In addition to an enriching learning environment, CADC offers a variety of student activities, learning communities, and summer camps to enhance practical knowledge. Students can choose from over 300 clubs and organisations. These include CADC Student Council, CADC Ambassadors, and Tau Sigma Delta Honor Society. Each school also consists of engaging organisations and camps.

Admissions criteria

The first step is to research and prepare before applying to CADC. In addition to a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college, applicants have to submit the required documents and meet the criteria to apply for the college. For international students: - Resume - Letter of Intent - Professional Fees: $2,160 - Undergraduate GPA: 3.0 - GRE is not necessary for every programme in CADC. Therefore, you must check your programme to ensure its relevance and the required score. - Official transcripts of all graduate credits from previously attended schools. - 3 letters of recommendations - A Statement of Purpose - Hard copy of your Portfolio

Students must submit the relevant documents 45 days before the semester begins. International students must submit the required documents 90 days before the first semester starts.

It is essential to note that there could be variations in the application process over time. Hence, please visit the official college website to stay updated with the latest criteria. International students must submit a language test score to certify their English proficiency. You must obtain the minimum score in the following exams to be eligible- TOEFL Paper-Based exam: 550, TOEFL Internet-Based exam: 79, TOEFL (iBT): 79, IELTS: 6.5.

In addition to the required documents in the above section, international students must provide the following: - A non-refundable fee of $70. You can pay it online using a Credit Card once the application process is complete - Official copies of all test scores - Official original language transcript and final diploma or certificate with a certified English translation of each document - You must subscribe to the Student Insurance Plan II or give evidence of equivalent coverage
