If you’re looking to change careers, ESMT offers an incredible support system to do so. In addition to a series of workshops, you have access to one-on-on career coaching with a dedicated mentor that you can reach out to during your time on campus. Plus, you’ll have the option to work with a corporate mentor, if you choose.
There are also consulting projects, recruitment events and corporate presentations in addition to CV books which are circulated among the school’s corporate connections.
Overall, there’s a lot of personal support and a number of networks you can tap into, making your post-MBA transition as smooth as possible.
Berlin is a culturally vibrant city and you’ll never be at a loss for something to do, eat or see - and ESMT is located in the heart of the city.
As it’s a smaller business school, you won’t need to worry about transportation while on campus; off-campus, you’ve got one of the most developed public transport systems to help you navigate your way through the city.
Upon admission, students are guided through the process of finding an apartment and settling in; while there isn’t on-campus accommodation available, the majority of students find a place to live before they arrive in the city. Luckily, Berlin is one of Europe’s least expensive capitals.
For food and diversions, it’s really only a matter of your imagination (and budget) as you’ll be able to find just about anything within the city. And, though you’ll find plenty of outdoor activities during the summer months, the city is equally enticing in winter, despite the cold.
At the top of the list for ESMT Berlin are the analytical skills of their applicants. that’s followed closely by international outlook, responsible business approaches and teamwork - all of which should give you a strong starting point for determining whether ESMT is right for you.
Typically, the admission rate is around 25% and applicants should keep in mind that ESMT admits a maximum of 70 MBA candidates annually.
Strong GMAT scores are expected, but they can be overcome (though you’ll want to address a low score in your essays) and you have the option of sending your CV in for a preliminary assessment before you submit your official application.
Interviews, which are a requirement for admission, are usually offered within two weeks after the receipt of your application. It’s strongly recommended to visit ESMT for your interview, but Skype interviews are offered if absolutely necessary.
